Best Western on Paris Road

Best Western on Paris Road is one of the latest businesses to join the growing St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce, and the first new hotel to enter the parish in nearly three decades.

Charles Loescher, one of the developers, also co-owns the site with Sinh and Bui Nguyen.

“We want to thank you all for doing this,” Loescher said at the ceremony. “For helping us get this funding, we really couldn’t have done it without that help.”

Also greeting guests was the general manager for on-site operations, Wung Wontanapa, whose staff offered tours of the new hotel operation, and then served a guest luncheon for all those who intended, including members of the Parish Government, Sheriff’s Office and the Chamber of Commerce.

Stephen Reuther, CEO of the Chamber, was on hand to welcome the business as a new member in St. Bernard’s economic fraternity.
We’re excited to have this kind of quality development and investment in St. Bernard,” Reuther said. “The hotel is attractive, the staff and management are friendly, and they provide a lot of amenities that I think will attract a lot of visitors who might normally stay in a chain hotel in New Orleans.”

“Best Western has done a great job of recognizing a growing community and a market that is underrepresented in terms of the hospitality industry,” Reuther continued. “There are all kinds of reasons to come to our Parish and the surrounding area, and now Best Western gives us an additional opportunity to have those visitors stay, eat and shop in St. Bernard.”
