Arbor Day was celebrated at Arabi Elementary School on January 25, with members of the Federated Council of New Orleans Garden Clubs (FCNOGC), Civic Beautification Association (CBA) of Jefferson, Orleans, Plaquemines and St. Bernard Parishes, Country Club Home Gardeners (CCHG), and Green Thumb Garden Club (GTG).
The groups donated money for the planting of four trees at the school site, for future students to enjoy in years to come.

“A tree planted in memory of someone is a nice way to celebrate Arbor Day,” said Chairperson Billie Frantz.
