St. Bernard Parish will begin the new year with a new Parish President after the election of Guy McInnis garnering 52 percent of the votes over Wayne Landry’s 48 percent. McInnis led in 19 precincts while Landry led in 12. McInnis also led in early votes taking 2,816 or 56 percent to Landry’s 2,191.
Students from across the region gathered on the Docville Farm last week to get a glimpse of what agriculture in Louisiana looks like.
Over 3,000 people attended Sheriff Pohlmann’s Crawfish Cook-off at the start of his campaign last weekend. This is one of the largest crowds ever at the Isleños Complex.
