St. Bernard Parish has overcome insurmountable odds in the decade since Hurricane Katrina ripped through Louisiana. We’ve developed a booming new film industry and Old Arabi is on its  way to becoming the next big thing in the New Orleans area. There’s much to celebrate, but St.

The Louisiana Saltwater Series, a catchandrelease redfish tournament, was developed in 2010 by the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF) in conjunction with the  Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries  Foundation to promote the conservation of Louisiana’s sport fish resources.

Everyone in St. Bernard has a Katrina story. We all remember exactly where we were on August 29, 2005 and how we spent the following years trying to return to normalcy. But few stories are as memorable as the story of Rockey Vaccarella, the Chalmette man who towed his FEMA trailer to Washington, D.C.
