Meraux just got a little more stylish thanks to sisters and St. Bernard Parish natives, Lindsey and Whitney Wilcox, owners of the new clothing boutique C’est Chic.
Members of the St. Bernard Chamber of Commerce and Parish President Dave Peralta were there to honor the new store at their ribbon cutting ceremony, Thursday March 1, and the Wilcox sisters’ excitement was evident as they cheerfully offered refreshments to arriving attendees.
The bright and spacious store seems to be an extension of the fashion-forward sisters’ closets– the sales floor is stocked with racks of gauzy dresses and colorful print tops, boots, jackets, and more.
“We strive to stay on top of the latest trends while employing classic taste,” Whitney said, while smoothing the hem of her floral print sundress.
Besides their love of fashion, the Wilcox sisters love working together. Owning and running a successful business with family can be challenging, but they wouldn’t have it any other way.
“We love it,” Lindsey beamed. “We’re on the same page about everything and totally in sync.”
The Wilcox sisters are excited about making high-end clothing more accessible to the community, and they’re looking forward to a new beginning with their boutique.
“Our mission is to provide high-end clothing and shoes at affordable prices to the parish and make it more convenient for St. Bernard citizens,” Whitney explained. “So people don’t have to drive all the way out to Metarie to get quality clothing and shoes.”
C’est Chic is located at 3132 E. Judge Perez Dr. in Meraux.
