St. Bernard native Julie Landry Lavioleppe recently presented her children’s book, “Brush of Truth” to a packed audience at the parish library.

Brush of Truth is a digital book that parents can download onto their iPhones and iPads.  The story also gives readers options; readers make choices for the hero, which ultimately determines the ending.
Lavioleppe said she remembers these sorts of books in the 80′s. Now she’s brought them back utilizing a digital format. She believes that children these days are more intuitive with technology, and this can encourage them to read because it’s in a format they are familiar with.
Currently a resident of Florida,  Lavioleppe found her love for reading at the St. Bernard Library, and it was the only location she would consider premiering her book.
