Lexington Place makes improvements

May 9th, 2011 | By | Category: Community

Lexington Place Civic Corporation made a major improvement to the entrance of Lexington Place subdivision. All the grassy areas in front of and behind the entrance wall have been removed and replace with decorative stamped concrete. The concrete was stamped and colored to look like real slate. Fleur de lis were also stamped into the concrete for that New Orleans look. The work was performed by Perez Concrete. L.P.C.C. membership voted for this project to kick start the Curb Appeal Campaign that is supported by many local organizations. The project was completed in three weeks after the membership vote, due to the help of St. Bernard Public Works Dept. and Parish President Craig Taffaro. L.P.C.C. would like to challenge and encourage all business and neighborhood associations to help keep the Curb Appeal Campaign moving forward. Thanks to Tracy Methvin and L.P.C.C. President Jerry Troxclair for their assistance in completing this elegant entrance to Lexington Place. Like Dorothy would say “There’s no place like home.”
