The Louisiana Office of State Parks is adjusting swimming pool schedules at sites around the state to ensure that visitors receive certified lifeguard supervision at pools through the end of the summer season. The end-of-summer schedules for State Park pools are:

Bayou Segnette (Westwego):
The pool will continue its normal schedule through Labor Day weekend and will be open on Labor Day. Visitors should note that the daily capacity of the wave pool will depend on the number of lifeguards on duty.

Chemin-A-Haut (Bastrop)
The pool remains closed due to construction.

Chicot (Ville Platte) and Lake D’Arbonne (Farmerville):
The pool will continue its normal schedule through Aug. 14, after which the pool will be open only on weekends and on Labor Day.

Lake Bistineau (Doyline) and St. Bernard (Braithwaite):
The pool will continue its normal schedule until Aug. 14, after which the pool will be closed for the rest of the year.

North Toledo Bend (Zwolle):
The pool will continue its normal schedule through Aug. 7, then open on weekends only and on Labor Day.

Pool at St. Bernard State Park in Braithwaite to close after Aug. 14

State parks with designated beach swimming areas include:
Bogue Chitto State Park near Franklinton; Cypremort Point State Park east of Franklin; Jimmie Davis State Park in Chatham; Fontainebleau State Park in Mandeville; Lake Bistineau State Park near Doyline; Lake Bruin State Park in St. Joseph; Lake Claiborne State Park in Homer; Poverty Point Reservoir State Park in Delhi; and South Toledo Bend State Park near Anacoco. All beach areas are open from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, but do not have lifeguard supervision. Standard day-use admission of $1 per person provides beach access.
