The Krewe of Lourdes is honored to present its 61st Annual Carnival Ball. The Ball and Supper Dance will be held on Saturday, Feb. 19 beginning at 8 p.m. The Carnival Ball will be held at the Frederick J. Sigur Cultural Center, in Chalmette, Louisiana.
The King, Mr. Roy J. Lauzon, Jr., was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for many years. Since Katrina he has relocated to Picayune, Mississippi. He hopes to return to St. Bernard Parish in the future. He is a graduate of St. Bernard High School. He is the owner of Lauzon’s Welding & Maintenance Service, LLC. He has served as a duke in the Krewe of Lourdes.
He volunteers in his spare time, coaching girls softball in the southern region. He is the founder of the girls travel team named Southern Pride Softball. He is also the Vice President of the Picayune Youth Softball Association.
Roy is married to the former Theresa Hales. He has three daughters, Hailey Dawn, Shelby Nyree and Lynsey Ann.
The Queen, Mrs. Lisa Robin Beloso was born and raised in the parish of St. Bernard. Since Katrina she has relocated to Mandeville, Louisiana.
She is married to Mr. Eric A. Beloso and they have one daughter, Erica Robin Beloso. She volunteered at Our Lady of Lourdes Church many years for the Oyster Festival, fish fries during Lent, and adopted families for the holidays. She also volunteers with staging the Krewe of Lourdes Ball.
She was a Lieutenant for several years prior to being Captain in 2005 for the Krewe of Lourdes. She is a graduate of P.G.T. Beauregard High School. She also attended St. Bernard Community College and Nunez Community College.
Mrs. Beloso retired after 30 years with the House of Representatives and District 104.
