Ngoc Do, also known as Ms. Le, was on her way to church on Feb. 19, like every other morning, when she was hit and killed by an alleged drunk driver on Paris Road. Le, 57, was named an honorary citizen of St. Bernard Parish at a recent council meeting. “Ms. Le was devoted to her family, [and had] a strong commitment to her Lord and her church,” said Councilman Wayne Landry, At-Large East. “We wanted to recognize this lady who meant so much in her community.”
