A rain, a drain, a parade, and “Glitter and Gloves”

What a rain storm last Friday! I was driving to Alabama that morning right through it. The wind and rain could be felt through the steering wheel, the rain hitting the windshield muffled the radio show, visibility was a few hundred feet or less to see the tail lights of the vehicles ahead, the speed was reduced to 40 mph on the interstate, even the trucks. This was a true wall of water. The drive was two hours of white knuckle driving. The weather cleared up to drizzles for the ride home later in the evening, what a relief.
