Lucile "Lucy" Robinson peacefully entered Heaven, surrounded by her loving family, on Wednesday, February 5, 2014 at the age of 75. Born Lucile Catalano in Independence, LA, she was one of 10 children born to the late Michael and Mary (nee Gagliano) Catalano. Lucy is survived by her devoted husband of 59 years, Jack D. Robinson as well as a son Terrell A. Robinson (Andrea) of LaPlace and Debra Robinson Presley (Dave) of Madisonville. She also leaves behind four grandchildren, Terrell "Anthony" Robinson Jr. (Amanda), Colleen Robinson, Jordan Presley and Josh Presley. She is further survived by brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and many friends. Although a resident of Denham Springs at the time of her passing, she, her husband, and children spent virtually all of their lives in St. Bernard Parish in Arabi and Chalmette. "Miss Lucy" to all of the neighborhood children, she was a surrogate mother to many of them along with her husband, Jack. "Me Me" and "Paw Paw" to their natural grandchildren, they are the same to many a young child. A generous and giving woman, she will be greatly missed by family and friends alike. Lucy was employed by the U.S. Department of Agriculture until her retirement in 1998. Services were held on Thursday, February 13, 2014. Visitation took place at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church in Chalmette. A mass to celebrate her wonderful life was presided over by Monsignor Bob Masset, followed by interment at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens in Chalmette. Her family and many friends attended and celebrated a truly remarkable woman.
