Stanley Joseph Pourciau Jr. passed away on April 7, 2014 at his home in Chalmette, LA at the age of 76. The last month and days of his life he was surrounded by family and friends. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Janice Kepler Pourciau and proud father of Penney Pourciau, Jeanne Pourciau Smaistrla (Christian) and Beth Pourciau. He is the much loved grandfather of Amanda, Austin, Evan, Ashleigh, Kaela, Brendan and Donovan. He is preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Joseph Pourciau, Sr. and Pearl Cavalier Pourciau. His is also survived by his three sisters, June Pourciau Magner (Earl), Linda Pourciau Landry, and Patricia Pourciau Krakowski (Gary). He will be greatly missed by a host of nieces, nephews and many friends whom we consider family. He was a graduate of Holy Cross High School Class of 1957. He is retired from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. As an avid hunter and fisherman, he was strong member of Ducks Unlimited, Delacroix Corporation and the CCA. A special thanks to Notre Dame Hospice. Friends and family were invited to the funeral mass on Friday, April 11, 2014 at Jacob Schoen & Son Funeral Home. Visitation was held up until mass time. A night wake was held on Thursday, April 10, 2014. Burial was at Greenwood Cemetery.
