Boxing Event to feature local Gary Bergeron

The Sigur Center and Silver Lining Entertainment is proud to present Friday Night Fights boxing series starting April 1, at the Frederick J Sigur Civic Center, 8245 West Judge Perez Drive. Doors will open at 5 p.m. with the first bout set to start at 7 p.m. The Sigur Center will have the ‘big time boxing’ you would expect to see in much larger arenas with a talent pool of some of the best prospects in America. Rumble in the Bayou is the first in a series of events called Friday Night Fights. This professional boxing show at the Sigur Center will feature a triple Main Event.

The first will feature one of the top amateurs in the country, who is now a professional- Michael Martinez from Snyder, Tx. The second main event will be an incredible display of fistic fury from knockout artist Chad Trahan from Lafayette, La. The third main event will highlight Chalmette’s own exciting Gary Bergeron.

Rounding out the card will be the ever popular and undefeated lightweight Cody Richard from Beaumont, Texas whose popularity is no secret in the southern United States. A big man, Cruiserweight Wilford Fusilier will be featured in his pro debut along with Houston’s favorite heavyweight chasing the heavyweight champions, (the Klitschkos) Skip “Strictly Business” Scott, a 6-foot, 8-inch giant with a physique to boot.

Closing out the card will be an extremely popular Canadian light-heavyweight, Anthony Russell who has been seen on national television fighting out of New Jersey.

Every fighter on this card has the potential to be a world champion. This show will be a huge ticket seller. Ticket prices are $75 for VIP, which includes cocktails.
