Andre Dorsey was honored for his distinguished career as a student athlete. Chalmette High School’s Track Coach Jim Bickford also praised his prized athlete. “It was a pleasure coaching Andre. He exemplifies what being a student athlete is all about,” Bickford said. “Good luck in college, and hopefully, the Olympics.” Dorsey graduates this year and moves on to Kennesaw State to continue his track career. Dorsey was recently honored as Chalmette High’s Male Athlete of the Year, and holds the school high jump record at 6’ 11”, a jump that puts him over most of the top jumpers in the state, and into national standings.
