Slab Removal Program
May 9th, 2011 | By William Dilella | Category: NewsSt. Bernard Parish Government, as a service to residents, will begin removing slabs from private property with the use of a $10,000 grant with The Office of Community Development. The grant for the removal and disposal of all concrete slabs and flatwork will also include filling, grading, sloping and compaction of low areas to improve drainage.
This program will come at no cost to property owners, and it will be at the discretion of the property owner to opt in to the program. Those residents who wish to keep an existing slabs on their property may do so, so long as the slab poses no immediate hazard to the community.
Those residents who wish to participate in the program must provide proof of ownership and sign a Right of Entry form.
