During the week of October 15, St. Bernard Middle School along with libraries across the world, celebrated Teen Read Week. Teen Read Week is an initiative of the Young Adult Library Service Association (YALSA) which began in 1998. The purpose is to encourage teens to read for pleasure and to visit their libraries for free reading materials. SBM also held a Book Fair during the week to provide students with an opportunity to purchase books of their own.
